Flashin OpenWRT on ZBT APG621

Introduction

  • The ZBT APG621 is an outdoor 5G single radio unit.
  • It comes standard with an OEM version of OpenWRT
  • We like the hardware because it is
    • Cost effective
    • Runs OpenWRT (Which means we can use it with MESHdesk and APdesk)
    • Easy to flash
  • There is no standard release of OpenWRT for this device but the Atheros DB120 reference board firmware seems to irk well enough for us.
