Working with your Mesh

Once your mesh is set up, the MESHdesk Applet has various features to let you manage the mesh.

Mesh View Options

  • Click on the MESHdesk icon on the Radiusdesk home page.

  • The window opens on the Meshes tab.

  • Click on the Mesh you want to work with.
  • Click the View icon in the action toolbar of the Meshes tab.

SSID<=> Device

  • The window opens on the second tab called SSID⇔Device.
  • Click on the + next to the SSID name.
  • Here you can see which devices are connected to which SSID's on the Mesh Network.

  • Click on Past Hour, Past Day or Past Week for information in these time frames.

Node<=> Device

  • Click on the Node ⇔ Device tab in the View Mesh Window.
  • Click on the + sign next to the Node names.
  • Here you can see which devices are connected to which nodes.

Click on Past Hour, Past Day or Past Week to see the information in these time frames.

Node<=> Nodes

  • Click on the Node ⇔ Nodes tab in the View Mesh Window.
  • Click on the + sign next to the Node names.
  • Here you can see which nodes talk to each other and how strong is the signal between them.

Click on Past Hour, Past Day or Past Week to see the information in these time frames.

Nodes

  • Click on the Nodes tab in the View Mesh Window.
  • Click on the + sign next to the Node names.

  • Here you can see the detail of each node e.g. model and up-time.

Then you can view your Mesh Spider by clicking on the Maps icon in the Action Toolbar in the Nodes window.

Overview

  • Click on the Overview tab in the View Mesh Window.

  • The Overview screen shows a mesh spider of the mesh you selected. You can see nodes up in green, nodes down in red and the signal strength between the nodes as the thickness of the connecting green lines.
