About Us
For over a decade, RADIUSdesk has been a beacon of reliability and performance in the industry, outlasting many similar projects. Its enduring success is a testament to its robustness and adaptability. Today, RADIUSdesk is trusted by organizations worldwide to provide internet access to thousands of users daily.
The journey began in 2010 when Dirk van der Walt authored the FreeRADIUS Beginners Guide for Packt Publishing. Building on this expertise, he founded RADIUSdesk in 2012, combining modern design principles with his deep understanding of FreeRADIUS.
The success of RADIUSdesk led to the development of MESHdesk in 2013, a groundbreaking open-source alternative to Meraki and OpenMesh with Cloudtrax. MESHdesk's innovative approach has made it a popular choice for mesh network management.
In response to the growing demand for access point management, APdesk was added to the family, providing a tailored solution for OpenWrt-based access points that don't require mesh networking.
Throughout the years, our commitment to innovation and improvement has ensured that RADIUSdesk, MESHdesk, and APdesk continue to work seamlessly with the latest versions of all components involved. Our dedication to open-source principles and community-driven development has fostered a loyal following and solidified our position as a leader in the industry.
